About Us

Our organization is an association in Illinois that represents and provides education and training to individuals such as LNHAs and RNs in the long-term care industry.

Objectives

The objectives of the Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Association are to support an organization comprised of qualified healthcare professionals who, through this body, shall accomplish the following:
Review Our Bylaws
To represent, and give a voice to, those LTC Administrators who desire to improve their profession and themselves.
To provide well being to the public and maintain the highest quality of administration to the LTC facility.
To establish and evaluate standards of excellence within the administrative field.
To develop, promote and provide standards of education and training for LTC Administrators.
To publish information that supports the educational objectives of the Association and enhances the educational needs of licensed administrators in Illinois.
To provide peer networking opportunities thereby assisting members statewide to seek and maintain the highest quality care for our Residents.
To always advance the quality of Resident care in facilities to the highest possible level. INHAA is the only association within Illinois designed specifically for the benefit of the Administrator.

Membership

The Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Association (INHAA) is one of the largest advocates for NHAs, RNs and other Healthcare Professionals in the State of Illinois. INHAA offers more than 40 quality, cost-effective, and relevant continuing educational seminars a year and an informative monthly newsletter, The Advocate. All for a $125 annual membership fee.

Classes of Membership

Active
Licensed nursing home administrators holding a valid Illinois nursing home administrator’s license may apply to the corporation to be considered as an Active Member. Each Active Member shall be entitled to one vote on each matter submitted to a vote of the Members.

Associate
Professional individuals involved in post-acute and longterm care, who are licensed by the state of Illinois, but not licensed as a nursing home administrator may become Associate Members. Associate Members shall have no voting rights.

Honorary Members
An Active Member who has made a significant contribution to the corporation or who has rendered distinguished service to post-acute and long-term care administration may become an Honorary Member with approval of the Board of Directors (“Board”). Honorary Members are exempt from payment of dues and registration fees for educational programs.

Student Members
A person actively engaged in a program of study related to health care and who has an interest in post-acute and long-term care may become a Student Member. Student Members shall have no voting rights.

Business Members
A business involved or interested in the field of long-term or post-acute care may become a Business Member. Business Members shall have no voting rights.

Remember, if the facility administrator is a member of the association, staff at the facility can attend the INHAA conferences at the member rate when the Administrator has registered and paid to attend that conference.

Publications & Communications

The Administrator’s Advocate is the Association’s monthly newsletter. Regular articles that appear in the newsletter consist of legislative reports, legal issues, regulatory updates, and a classified section for employment opportunities. Space is also available for industry-related advertising. Additional member communications consist of mailings regarding educational conferences held by the Association including the Fall annual convention and trade show. Supplemental information is sent to members by e-mail as are deemed timely and appropriate by INHAA Committee Chairs and/or Board of Directors.
